RC LIVE

Last night was the live recording of RC Worship's 2nd live worship experience. There were 10-songs and the team did a fantastic job. The combination of the hottest worship songs at the RC this spring made for a powerful worship set.

At the beginning of the service I made this statement, "I don't think there is a volunteer team that works harder in our church than the worship team." Every week, 52-weeks a year, they are required to practice, learn new songs, work together and flow, while seeking the Lord, remaining in humility, avoiding the perfection trap (musicians are famous for this) and working with others. Last night was a reflection of how hard they work all year. They played together with focus and had fun.

I want to share a big thank you to all those who were there last night. FUEL is every 4th Wednesday and although I was disappointed that it was not a packed house (American Idol and LOST season finales) the atmosphere for worship and prayer was awesome.

After the recording was done the team played for about 45 more minutes and in the end there were 2 dozen people praying and soaking in the presence of God. It was like years ago in our church when we would jsut hangout and play music for hours.

Our prayer for this CD is that those listening would pull-over on the side of the road and give their life to Jesus, press pause on the Ipod and seek Him, and share their story with others by giving the CD away.

We are on the fast track with this one. Expect it out this summer!
