Day 2: MFI Regional

MFI Regional: Morning of Day Two Pastor Wendell Smith

WHO’S THE LOCAL CHURCH?
Acts 15:22, “Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers.” NIV

Biblical Words: Apostles, Bishops, Deacons, and Saints.
Cultural Words: Fathers, Leaders, Servants and People

THREE KEYS TO WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM:

KEY 1: Know what God Wants? God’s Vision and God’s Purpose for the church; have a written vision and purpose; allow the Holy Spirit to put His power on the vision and purpose.

KEY 2: Know what the Pastor Wants? Pastor’s vision and mission for this church. All involved with the church must understand the pastor's vision.

KEY 3: Agree on what it takes to accomplish the vision. Have common DNA. Common DNA is the philosophy of accomplishing the vision. Like raising a family, there are different ways, but the methods are determined by the mother and father. The methods of building the local church are determined by the lead pastors. Never "work it out" in front of the saints; instead, solve philosophical differences behind closed doors.

Scripture to Guide us:
Rom 15:5-6, “Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Cor 1:10-11, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
