WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

I've been in the middle of a Campus Launch and building 2 race cars for this season at Evergreen Speedway, simply the big tasks. I've had numerous meetings with people, teams, planning and etc. It's all led to a little blog hiatus, not intended. Here's what's cooking from the weekend!

Drive for Diversity.
As you know race season is just around the corner. This year we've added another car to the stable. The #94 will be driven by Natalie Sather a NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver. With only 13 of these drivers in the nation we feel very honored to be chosen by NASCAR to run this program. This weekend we fired her car for the first time. Roger Habich and team have been working around the clock, literally, to get the car prepared for practice.

Race Car.
While Roger and team are working on Natalie's car I have been working on my car with my team. We started the engine this week and the list is down to about 40 items to be race ready! Should be a good race car when it is done.

Ken Gaub.
Ken Gaub was at The Rock Church this weekend. I always enjoy Ken's jokes, simple message and uplifting approach to Word of God.

Worship.
I have really enjoyed our worship. The last couple weeks have been incredibly connecting for me. Thanks Melinda and company, you are the best.'

Friends.
There are seasons in life where friends are a must. This has been one of those seasons with me. I feel like God has been refining me a lot. It is in those times I need people to love me where I am at, but at the same time challenge me to take a great step. I feel the Lord taking me to greater depths in him and at the same time expanding the territory he is calling our church to reach. Both are daunting, but doable!

Prophets.
In scripture the role of the prophet is essential. When I read church history I've discovered that the prophet had to be obscure due to the fact they were not recongized in the mainstream church. Not me, I recognize a true prophet, probably cause I grew up with one. My mom was a true prophet. She's been gone for 9 years and still every month some stranger comes up to me and tells me about my mom's prophecy for them coming to pass.

Well, this past week a prophet visited me. He has only come by 2 times in the last nine years, but each time he stops in I tune in! He prophesied some BIG stuff for The Rock Church. I mean BIG. Bigger than me, bigger than now, bigger than us. It is simply God. I will be seeking the Lord BIG time for the plan of God. Sometimes when the prophet speaks it is then up to us to get the wisdom! May the Lord grant me the wisdom to see his words become reality.
