padding-5;
- We had dinner Saturday night with Natalie Sather who will be racing with our team this season at Evergreen. She just relocated from North Dakota to here for the year. I am really excited about the Drive for Diversity opportunity.
- Saturday January 31 is a day of where I spend a lot of time reflecting on how awesome my mom and dad impacted my life and so many around me. Never forget 88 people didn't survive a water landing which makes the recent water landing all the more amazing to me.
- OK, so everyone knows I'm still a little bitter that my Seattle Seahawks lost in Super Bowl XL, but it was kind of funny to me the Steelers championship hats last night were green and blue. I realize the Super Bowl logo was green and blue, I just thought it ironic because the Hawks lost to the Steelers, they could have reused the hats that were made in preparation for if the seahawks won...was I the only one that thought this?
- No Really, congrats to all my Steeler brothers. BTW , there was a lot of Yellow and Black attire at church this morning. It just proves we are still reaching lost people...thank the Lord. hehe...
- Today, I met two families who are coming from the Lake Stevens area, both are ready to launch the campus and make The Rock their church. Very cool.
- Tonight Seven did the funniest thing. I let here scoot out on the carpet without a diaper...BAD idea dad. You guessed it, she left a surprise for all of us. I laughed out loud so hard I cried.
- I fitted the hood to the race car on Saturday afternoon...only two months until race 1.
- We had nearly 150 guys for breakfast on Saturday morning...the guys at The Rock Church are the real deal. It was cool to see how much the church has grown because the last time we had the guys together it numbered about 45.
- Sunday Brunch at the Brien's is a Reach Team I went to today. You really wouldn't like it. I don't think you should go. In fact, you should stay away so the crowd doesn't get too big. NO really, if you go there probably won't be enough waffles, cinnamon buns, dessert, smoked ham, eggs and sausage, and freshly squeezed orange juice for those of us who call this Reach Team our own. NO seriously, you wouldn't like it. So, Mr. and Mrs. Brien, can we do it every week instead of once a month? NO really, to all of you thinking you should come to this Reach Team, you shouldn't. It's really only for brunch lovers. And people who like great food and fellowship. Actually, and in all seriousness, make sure you check in with Randy and Diane via the Reach Team website before going, they have something very fun happening, but space is limited.
- We had HANGAR 105 pizza for our Super Bowl party tonight. I talked with the owners for a while when I ordered. They have a great atmosphere, a passion for what they are doing. I couldn't wait to get the pizza in the oven. It was fantastic. Very flavorful. One of my highlights was the salad they offer. Really nice presentation and super tasty. If there was anything I'd add to the experience it would be some sort of tray or box that I could carry the pizza home in. I got three pizzas and the salad, and I think the total weight was about 25 pounds of food. It was an awkward carry and I about fumbled between the car and the front door.
- Thank you to everyone who sent a kind email, or quick text to remember my family on Saturday.
- Stay Dangerous this week. What a fantastic year we've had this year. Our attendance at The Rock Church is up between 17 and 28% each week. People are finding Christ, getting dangerous and downright growing in the Lord. It's a lot of fun for me, and I know God is well pleased with all of you.
- BTW...to the worship band...I think that was the best ever. To the lighting crew, video, sound team and production team that service was very well done. It really hit a new standard, and I am so impressed by your hearts to serve God.
- I preached three times in 4 days this last week. That's a bunch of fun!
- Well, it's time to sleep. gotta go now...
