WHAT'S IT GONNA TAKE

What will it take to live your dreams in 2009?

Passion.
To live my dreams in 2009 I will have to sweat, bleed, dream, think, scream, run, pray, study, become an expert, as well as 100 other words. There is no substitute for passion. Passion will take you farther than you think you can go, higher than you think you can climb and faster than you expect.

Focus.
More of my dreams have been ruined by broken focus than any other component. Everyday arrows will come out of nowhere with one intent; to break the focus. Don't do it. Stay focused. Keep the laser on the target, see it, vision it, become it. Blocking out distraction is a key component to succeeding.

Right Dreams.
Seriously. Don't screw up your dreaming. Don't dream too small. Don't limit what is possible. Don't live your life through the lens you possess today. This is what it means to have faith, to believe. It means to dream God sized dreams. With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Dream God dreams, everything else is too small. Oh yeah, real important here, make sure your dreams are God's dreams. I've been there, and there is nothing worse than climbing a ladder and discovering it is leaning on the wrong tower. Climb...

A Plan.
It goes without saying, "He who has no destination will never know when he has arrived." Want frustrated? Live without a plan.

Prayer.
The final component of living your dreams. It's always time to pray, but if the Lord isn't blessing your efforts it's time seek answers in prayer. The only way to know God is to spend time with Him. When I do I learn His heart, His will, His words, His hope for me. When He blesses my dreams, or sometimes alters them, I have no doubts because I understand, this is what it also means to pray.
