POSITION YOUR MEMORIES
"The memory of the righteous is blessed," Proverbs 10:7.
Let this scripture be your guide when you think about your life. When given the opportunity to make a choice think to yourself, how will I remember this choice, not others, but you yourself. So many of us make choices because of how others will remember our choice. You alone have the thinking capacity to make your memories blessed.
Fill the volumes of your memory with stories of testimony, surviving life's tests. We are all tested, we are all tried, pushed, challenged, but what becomes of those choices when the testing comes? I've discovered my choices become my memories, my testimony.
Make choices that allow your testimonies outlast your titles. What do I mean? You've been given the title of father, or mother, pastor, leader, CEO, COO, business person, whatever your title is, what you choose in that position determines your testimony, story. Long after the title is retired, the story will live on.
I want to fill my memory with story's of righteousness, like the times when it seems impossible, causing doubt, fear, unbelief, but just when I need it most I outlast the fear, endure the moment of doubt, replace my unbelief with hope. I've done this as a pastor, leader, husband, father, friend, and general life adventurer. My we make testimony from our title.
This is my story, my memory. To continuously follow Jesus Christ in every way, to every high point I can reach, at times nearly collapsing, only to find out God and HIS GRACE is sufficient in every test! Those are my stories, may your life be filled with many like them.
