INTERN UPDATE FROM AFRICA

I am certain our interns will never be the same people as when they left! Here is the summary that our team member wrote when she received the call from Laraine...

Laraine called this morning and said everyone is great. They are having an amazing time.
Laraine feels like already this trip is more effective than previous trip.

They have shared with over 3,000 (mostly kids) so far and about 1,800 have responded!!!
Working a lot too with the Disabled Centers where orphaned kids with disabilities stay.
It has been very eye opening and emotional for all of them, yet powerful. She is seeing
breakthrough in the Interns and all of them have had a chance to share their testimony
and witness.

Last week they stayed in a remote area with no running water and a hole in the ground for
a toilet :) Everyone handled it great she said. They were able to go to a neighbors place
a take showers twice while they were there. Temperatures have been in the 70's.

Rich wanted you to be aware that CNN has been showing some news about rioting in S Africa. It is near to where they are but they are all safe and are not in danger. They are staying in a Baptist Campus that is fenced, gated and locked and he will not be taking them anywhere to put them in danger. It is all good, he was worried that if some of the parents heard or saw anything from watching the news they might panic, so was just wanting to reassure us.

Our prayers are continually with our team as they are away. I am also thankful for such a great ministry like Impact Africa.
