GO AHEAD QUIT
Thanks Dino for the picture. I too, read this book in the last 24 hours and it was a wallup. I mean, it may be a short book, but it hits like a 6' 5" 234lbs. heavyweight.
Here are a few of the takeaways (in my own words)...
- Vince Lombardi, "Winners, never quit and quitters never win." Bad Advice. Winners quit all the time, they just quit the right things at the right time.
- Quit those things that are sending you off a cliff or driving you in circles around the cul-de-sac.
- Look for "the Dip," that low point where you want to quit and make a plan in advance for how you'll respond when you hit the Dip.
- To be the best, you've got to get through a giant DIP.
- To be the best, you've got to be willing to quit other stuff.
- Too much average will never allow you to be the best.
- Mediocrity must be quit. Not tomorrow, not next year, but RIGHT NOW!
This book caused me to evaluate relationships, projects, pursuits, and plans.
It's time to quit , so I can stick!
