PASTOR GEORGE PARKER

At The Rock Church we have some amazing Pastors who help lead the church. I am so grateful that they are not only men and women of God in church, but they are absolute role models in the community. Tonight George Parker, an elder in our church for 20 years, was honored and his name placed on the John Wooden Wall of Fame for coaching basketball. Most people would never know it, but George has been coaching at SPU as an assistant volunteer coach for nearly 2 decades!

GP, we are proud of you. You set a powerful example of what it means to be a Christian leader in that you are not only in church on Sunday's, but in your community everyday doing what God has called you to do. Love ya!

It was also great to meet Jim Zorn, former QB and current Assistant Coach with the Seahawks; Lorenzo Romar, Head Coach of the Washington Huskies; Dan Wilson, former catcher for the Mariners, and so many others. George keeps great company and we love him. Shake George's hand this weekend. This award is something special.
