A thought to Share...

Today in Monroe, where our church is located, there was an apartment fire that displaced 10 families. Last semester a Rock Church Reach Team lead by Ron and Kathy began to develop a Disaster Plan for TRC. As a result TRC became a Red Cross Center for the area. Well guess what? Families are coming to stay at TRC for a few nights.

The first family arrived and I got the privilege of giving them blankets as they were standing in the cold all afternoon. They shared how much of their belonging were destroyed, but they were thankful they were safe. What an amazing church and an amazing opportunity to help people who need it right now.

The parable of the good Samaritan was a parable about giving help to those who need it. When I think of the opportunities to give my life is enhanced. Your life should be enhanced also, your community at TRC is making a big difference.
