It's 12 hours before game time! Game time is my favorite time of the week. What is game time? It is the first service, the break and then the second service. Just like football has two halves and a halftime so do we at The Rock Church.

When you think about it there are some similarities. Sometimes the team delivers better in one half than the other. Any adjustments we need to make tothe service are done at the break. In fact, plays (points in the message) that had little effect in the first service are not used in the second. Even some of the plays that worked great in first service are modified in second.

Tomorrow and next weekend we are talking about vision. Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision the people perish." I like saying it this way: Where there is vision the people flourish. It is important to communicate the vision of the church on a regular basis. People need to know which direction we are heading.

Consider the following: “The great thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving. To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it—but we must sail, and not drift, nor live at anchor.”Oliver Wendell Holmes

I am excited about TRC vision for 2007! Regional Reach Teams, Saturday Nights Service, the ending of weekly Wednesday nights, the development of JAM family service and Fuel, the Mitosis conference...Touching Tomorrow Together.

Nothing of significance happens without vision!
