SEEK FIRST (2/4)

Seven "Seek First S's."

1. Stop.
To Seek First you will have to stop some stuff. Stop, take the time to connect with all that is important: Jesus, your spouse, children, church.

2. Surrender.
The only way the battle will ever end is if one side surrenders. Surrender, God will flood your soul with new life, better stuff to contend for.

1 Peter 5:5-7, "God opposes the proud, but favors the humble." 6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

3. Serve.
To continue to Seek First requires serving something God places in our lives. Serve, something bigger than you.

4. Settle.
Why are you worrying about ________?

Matt 7:11, "So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him."

5. Select.
To do something big in this life it will require you to select a path. Seeking First assures your path.

6. Solve.
Seeking First doesn't eliminate choice or challenge. Solve challenges with grace.

7. Salute.
Recognize the Lord acting in your life everyday. Give honor with generosity.

Prov 3:9, "Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce."

8. Share.
Share your story.
