WEEKEND REFLECTIONS
The big topic this weekend; The WINTER STORM. These storms are legit.
- Huge THANK YOU to the army of people who showed up at the Lake Stevens Campus to get some work done. The weather didn't deter and much progress was made.
- Saturday night the snow was falling and the wind blowing. With nearly a foot on the ground already we headed to the church to set up the digital messages. At present we've had 100 views, the Message; 45 views, the offering; and 75 views, Feel Good Moment. Thanks to Ryan, Josh and Tim for working late into the night.
- Sunday morning we had just one service for the 2nd week in a row. This is the first time in our history we've had back to back snow weekends.
- Service was well attended...371 people were there, considering the snow.
- The Brien's rode in on their snowmobiles!
- There were dozens of responses to the message, very cool.
- Because many churches closed in town, we had some visitors from other churches...welcome to all of them.
- I pulled into my driveway after church and got stuck, had to dig the truck out of the snow bank.
- Melinda and I went to the mall last night. It was a blizzard, they closed early...we didn't even get in the door. No worries though, we went to PF Changs for dinner, yes!
- There was this nut in a hugely lifted Ford Truck who was taking up the entire road, sliding around. I went to pass him and ended up in the deep snow, going about 50mph...we were slipping and sliding like the race car on the green flag lap, but no worries, we kept it straight and made it back to the plowed area. Passed the guy too!
- DON'T MISS CHRISTMAS EVE...and remember the Christmas Offering...one church we know had a goal of 60k for their Christmas offering, they received 120. Our goal is $40k, may we have an unbelievable offering this Christmas.
