PRINCIPLES OVER POLITICS

My Pastor, Dr. Wendell Smith, wrote a well thought and excellent blog post regarding a "Christian perspective" for the upcoming election. Now, for many like myself who have already cast the vote, it is imperative that we do not put our guard down, but follow these principles Pastor Wendell laid out. For those of you yet to vote, read the whole post.

Here is an excerpt of Principles of Politics:

"As Christians we are citizens of heaven. We are part of the kingdom of God. We are not Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green or Orange. Nor is any political party platform sacrosanct. The two dominant political parties in the USA have both good and bad, and strong and weak planks in their party’s platforms. It is only the Kingdom of God and its abiding principles that can guide the believer."
