GOD'S SUPPLY

Acts 20:34-35, "You know that these hands of mine have worked to supply my own needs and even the needs of those who were with me.

Last week I pulled away for some prayer and focused time with the Lord on four areas. One of the areas was finances. He showed me the above scripture. It spoke this to me, and reminded me of what's most important.

There are seasons where I tend to forget what's most important. Are you like that? Like when I get a significant amount of "to-do's" on my list I can forget to execute those things I need to do everyday. The fact is life gets busy, moving at a rapid pace, and in similar way, the news I constantly get about the economic situation today can cause me to forget what's most important.

What are you talking about Jeff? I am talking about the fact that, "The work of my hands is not only to supply all my own needs and even the needs of those who were with me." I don't mean to come across glib, pretending that real economic hardships are not happening, but I mean to say, as far as my house, I intend to allow the work of my hands to meet the needs of those around me, the best I can. It's a matter of perspective; a matter of renewing my mind.

Economies change, but God's supply never changes. May he continue to supply all your needs, and the needs of those who are with you. May He do it through you. It's time to respond to the negative press with a positioning prayer. "God, may you supply, and may I gather. May I gather and supply my family, the mission of my church and people who you send across my path."

Psalms 104:28, "When you supply it, they gather it. You open your hand to feed them, and they are richly satisfied."
