THOSE WHO KNOW ME (PART TWO)
Here is the list of "Those Who Know Me May Not Know" list.
- Those who know me may not know, I watch the top stories on the Today Show every day. Got that from my dad.
- Those who know me may not know, I am a AMA (American Motorcyle Association) member.
- Those who know me may not know, I am a life member of the NRA. Does that make me a red-neck?
- Those who know me may not know, I got a speeding ticket 3 weeks ago and simply paid the fine. I know I should have taken it to court on the slim chance that it might have been reduced, but when you look down and the speedo says what the ticket says, "What's the point?" Right?
- Those who know me may not know, I seldom go to bed before 11:30pm and most nights not before 1am. Why? because I hear God better in the late night than early morning, at least at this stage of life. Hmmm...midnight to 1am is the earliest am.
- Those who know me may not know, I wrecked my finances at the age of 18. It taught me the lessons I needed to learn about giving, debt, income and financial management.
- Those who know me may not know, I've traveled to Singapore, Japan, Jamaica, Acapulco, and Puerto Vallarta to do missionary work.
- Those who know me may not know, my childhood dream was to be a fighter pilot and drive a Porsche, there is still a chance for the Porsche.
- Those who know me may not know, I got my private pilot license at the age of 18. A Cessna is not a fighter plane.
- Those who know me may not know I had an American flag complete with color on the side of my head during the first gulf war.
- Those who know me may not know, Montana and Northern Wyoming is my favorite part of the country to drive through.
- Those who know me may not know, my degree is in Construction Management. I wanted to build bridges, but God started me building people before I started building bridges.
- Those who know me may not know, I began youth pastoring in Monroe while living in Ellensburg and traveled 2 hours drive through the mountain pass in our Honda 3 times a week to be with students...
- Those who know me may not know, check this, God healed me from chewing tobacco! How? I felt Him say to me, "If you take another dip you are going to die from this." Pretty much stopped right then, yep, that'll do it.
- Those who know me may not know I've read the bible cover to cover in 58 days!
- Those who know me may not know, when I was in kindergarten I fell asleep on the bus and got off at the next stop. I was 3 miles from home!
- Those who know me may not know, I made it home that day and my dad got me a snap tight model to celebrate my still being alive.
- Those who know me may not know, my first car was a 1969 RS/SS Camaro! I wish I still had that today!
- Those who know me may not know, my friends and I set the record on Alta lake for most water skiers at one time behind one boat. There was 9 of us.
- Those who know me may not know, Melinda and I met when she was in the 7th grade and we were friend until she was in the 11th grade. I don't know what happened, I guess I woke up to the fact that she was amazing!
- Those who know me may not know, Melinda and I got engaged her senior year. It was homecoming! What were we thinking? I was just totally in love with her and didn't want to wait another moment longer than necessary. As I've aged I've appreciated the grace her parents showed us back then, that must have been challenging for them.
- Those who know me may not know, Melinda and I hosted a local television show when we were youth pastors.
- Those who know me may not know, I would never, ever, ever jump out of an airplane intentionally unless it was parked firmly on the ground.
- Those who know me may not know, Melinda and I built our first house together with our own hands.
- Those who know me may not know, I've never been to a Sprint Cup race, but I watch every one. NO way, not every lap...just the beginning, the wrecks and the last 100 laps.
- Those who know me may not know, I love American war history because my family has been in most every American conflict. Thank vets, my family appreciates all you do and have done.
- Those who know me may not know, I don't do sour stuff, but chocolate..."greater love knows no man than to give his brother some chocolate."
- Those who know me may not know, I love watching random stuff on youtube.
