TEAM ENVIRONMENT

We took a long weekend this week and returned to the saddle (horse lingo) today. It's always great to have a refreshing time. We circled the wagons (more horse lingo) and jumped in...

Simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

Who are we trying to reach? Who are we trying to reach? Who are we trying to reach?

We spent the good part of the day talking about the above. What has become of it? Pure Genius! On the part of our team. There are some smart people working at The Rock Church, and I am proud of them. It got me thinking, "WHAT MAKES A GREAT TEAM PLAYER?"

A great team player is someone...

  • Who will put their best effort out there all the time.
  • Who will try new.
  • Who challenges the status quo.
  • Who will confront mediocrity.
  • Who argues for what they believe.
  • Who will support the other team members.
  • Who brings the best out of others.
  • Who wants to win.
  • Who knows what is most important.
  • Who has passion.
  • Who, when failing, doesn't blame others.
  • Who accepts responsibility.
  • Who congratulates.
  • Who doesn't care about self, just team.
  • Who, when winning, doesn't take credit.
  • Who values team!
The best churches in the world are built with teams. What else makes a great team player? Post a comment, I'd love to read what attributes you value in a team...
