WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

Easter Weekend is over!

HOLY HANGOVER
I had a serious Holy Hangover on Monday. I think I accomplished absolutely zilch on Monday, my day off. No wait, I watched "I am Legend" and freaked out, but was seriously entertained by the suspense. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who gets spooked easily.

GOOD FRIDAY
We had a continuous flow of people for Good Friday prayer. It was a first for our Easter Weekend calendar and I was pleasantly surprised by the turn out for prayer on such a busy weekend.

SATURDAY
On Saturday we had 500+ at Easter Eggstravaganza! It was awesome. Thousands of dollars in prizes were given away. It seems like every year there is a special story connected with someone who wins a prize. This year a girl won the grand prize of a Mongoose BMX bike and her mom was all in tears because she'd been wanting to get her daughter a bike, but hadn't the money. God knows those little things!

NUMBERS
1,000+ unique's on Sunday alone. FYI: A unique is one person. A person can attend more than one service, so we've developed a formula to remove repeats from our numbers, so we only count unique attenders per weekend.

  • Re-dedications. Scores of people who have been connected to Jesus in some capacity before but had fallen away rededicated their life.
  • First-Time Salvations. 7 first-time-never-asked-Christ-into-their-life before salvations.
  • Attending Two or More Services. I heard reports of people who stayed for multiple services just to see and hear it a 2nd time. In fact we had the highest percentage of "carry over" in our history. It made it tougher to understand our unique attendees. For instance, 39% of the kids who attended 2nd service also attended 3rd. That is record breaking.
  • All in all we ministered to nearly 1,700 people on Easter Weekend!!! Great Effort!
STORIES
  • Children's. Our volunteers teams did a huge renovation on the children's wing. The decor is amazing. One story about a young girl who wouldn't go to children's class for two years. She saw the decor and told her parent's, "I want to go to class today!" That's worth it team.
  • Bathrooms. Ok, so our volunteer teams did a major overhaul on our bathrooms. The paint, furniture, and aroma is splendid. While walking down the hallway one of our support team leaders overheard two women say, "I could stay in those bathrooms all day." LOL!
  • Worship: I young man who never attends church regularly and sits on the outside of the family connection with God walked away from service and volunteered to get plugged in and helping with the ministry. The service changed his entire perspective on church.
  • Salvation: A guy who walked away from God 9 years ago and said he would never set foot in a church again, and hadn't, was touched by the spirit of God, began weeping and gave his life to the Lord!
  • Dozens of others, those are just a few.
