WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

What a weekend...

The Weather
We have had some wild weather in the Pacific Northwest. It snowed on Saturday and was near 60 degrees today and flooding. Many roads are washed out and flooded all over Seattle. The weather made for interesting church this weekend. Check out the condensed version of the message.

Thank you
I was walking through the church today with a long-time friend who had never been at the new building and our facility looked so good. The Christmas decorations are stunning. Thank you to all of you who decorated a tree and the team who has worked so hard to make it look stellar.

Youtube
Is it just me or do I look like I have no neck in that Youtube video we showed for service on Sunday? We decided at 9 pm Saturday to shoot the "on stage" portion of the service video. It had been a long day and the snow was coming down!

My Race Friend
This week a friend from racing called to talk. I was working late on Friday night and finishing up some email when I saw his number. I called him. We chatted for nearly an hour. He's going through a really rough time. At one-time he knew Christ, but the death of his mother as a 12 year old boy changed all that. He's 51 today. After listening to his story the Lord prompted me to ask him if he wanted to come back to Christ like when he was a boy. He did, we prayed and this Sunday he was in church with his brother for the first time in 39 years! I've lost count as to how many wonderful people I have met through racing that have made a decision for Jesus.

Online Giving
Due to the weather this weekend I asked encouraged people to give on-line. Well, I chose to give on-line as well--which was a first for me at our church. I was really impressed with our system. I had not personally used it, but I found it was simple. I give weekly, so I'm going to set it up automatically (that is one of the options). Check it out by clicking here and make a donation!

#70 Race Car
The race season is 4 months away. I've been working on the car getting it ready for next year! I can hardly wait!
