Things I want to know about people in my church? (2/4)

By Jeff Knight

Who are you spending the most time with?

A Bible verse my mom and dad spoke over me all the time was, “Bad company, corrupts good character.” As a Christ followers, who you spend your time with matters!

Are you spending enough time with who matters? Like your spouse, children and family. How about, the Lord? John Maxwell says, "People are like elevators, they take you up or down." Are you spending the most time with people who take you higher? Or, is it time to get off that jokers elevator?

I recently read a blog post that got me thinking about who I spend time with. It's here. Steven states, "Jesus doesn't want to be first in your life; He wants to be the center of your life." This way of thinking changes what I have called the "priority paradigm" of first, Jesus; second, spouse; third, children; and etc... Steven sums it up like this, "It's not Jesus, then everything. It's Jesus, in everything."

Time is the only currency we can’t make more of. If you had a chance to clear your schedule this week, who would be eliminated? Who would be added? Go ahead next week is 7 days away, who WILL you spend the most time with?
