WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

Labor Day Weekend, the last "official" weekend of the summer. Who made it "official?" I say we throw that out and make the first weekend it snows the last weekend of the summer! Until then I'm thinking barbecue and sunshine.

Not This Weekend!
On the church front, Labor Day weekend, in football terms, is a fumbled snap. Doesn't matter what is planned it is usually lightly attended and lacks energy. BUT NOT THIS WEEKEND. The worship was unbelievable. I don't think the band has been as good as they were on Sunday-ever! We were up in attendance 17%! There were 12 commitments to Christ and 2 of those were first time salvation's! Great job church! The energy was big and people who came to church on Sunday experienced the passion that defines The Rock Church.

One Straight Panel
After the 50 laps on Saturday night, 3 spin outs, and being wrecked on the start I battled back to 7th for a dozen or so laps only to get spun again. I ended up finishing 11th out of 16 cars, but the car took the brunt of the beating and there is only one panel without damage. One race left!
