SUNDAY NIGHT SUMMARIES

It's Monday and time for Sunday night summaries...

  • I thought Dan Nelson did a fantastic job on Sunday with the subject doctrine of baptisms. This series, LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD is resonating with a lot of folks who are thirsty to not only know what they believe, but why they believe it.
  • Not only was the message good, but seeing people at the altars for prayer was inspiring to me.
  • Melinda and I went for a bike ride Sunday evening, she did her first century (100 miles) in one trip.
  • Melinda went out and purchased a cribbage board last night. We played one game and she beat me by 3. Our lifetime record is now two wins Melinda and one win Jeff.
  • I was able to do some walking around during 2nd service yesterday. I checked in on each classroom of students, parking flow and other small details.
  • Great job by our parking team, mid service there were two spaces available right by the front door.
  • I am so stinking proud of our communicators at The Rock Church. Our current series has depth, simplicity and relevance all in one package and the most challenging aspect is that the subject matter could take up a whole year of Sundays per topic.

Anyway, lots to do today. My cousin is getting married this week and I get to officiate the wedding. Looking forward to seeing family I haven't seen in a while. Also, 100 laps on the 5/8's this Saturday. Gotta go run and get my butt in shape! My license expired on my birthday also, so I must navigate the DOL!
