GREAT IS MEGA

Matthew 15:28, "Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith!" Today
in our first session at the Pastor's Summit Pastor Wendell shared on this
concept of great faith. The word great is better defined as mega! Jesus is
saying, "Lady, you have mega faith."

Pastor Wendell laid out 10 areas to be "mega." Here they are and a few
thoughts I had about us.

1. Believe the mega dream.

Our vision, Connecting People to Life! What a dream for the 660,000 people
in Snohomish County; to know Jesus Christ and experience His full LIFE!

2. Pray mega prayers.

Financial example: Not just praying, "Dear Lord, give me enough money to
get through the month." But, "God, give me enough money so I can be a part
of history!"

3. Build on mega foundations.

The Scripture is the only foundation!

4. Obey the mega Spirit.

I like this one, Wendell said about the fifteen years leading The City
Church, "We pray a lot to hear God clearly, so we can do what He says."
Success is the result of obedience to God not just creativity.

5. Sow mega seed.

The field is Monroe, Snohomish County and beyond for TRC. It is time to sow
mega finances into the field.

6. Operate in your mega Gifts.

God's given them, find them and use them.

7. Develop mega strategies.

Assign and reassign the right people to the right task. That will work in
church and in business.

8. Operate in mega wisdom.

Make decisions after consulting, in order, these people: Spouse, key
leaders, eldership (legal board), Apostolic covering, leaders, people.

9. Help specialized groups become mega ministries.

Children, Youth, Men and Women make up the church.

10. Believe for mega miracles.

TRC is a church that believes in a living God; consequently, we have to act
like He is alive and still doing His ministry in the Earth today.

It was a MEGA (great) first session. I am always delighted to be with
Pastor Wendell and glean the impartation he has for leaders.
